30mins (2026)

This work is a map documenting the intersection of digital instruction and physical chance within the cities of London and Barcelona. In each city, six destinations within a 30-minute radius of a central starting point were selected using Google Maps. The final routes represent a synthesis of two opposing forces: the “optimal” paths dictated by the Google Maps algorithm and the “accidental” turns determined by the roll of a die. By connecting these two disparate methods of navigation, the project integrates the trajectories of movements governed simultaneously by the pursuit of convenience and the embrace of the irrational into a single map.
